My most wonderful meal of the past year was just last week, in the tiny village of Cereste, where we were hosted by author Elizabeth Bard-who lives in a charming stone house overlooking the hills of Provence. (OK, I know, a total cliche, but in her case absolutely true: the house is charming, it’s in Provence, and we ate our meal gazing out at a picture perfect vista. What can I say?)
I’ll be posting more about Elizabeth (author of one of my favourite books about France and food, Lunch in Paris) in a week or two, when I’ll be hosting a Q&A with her.
In the meantime, here is a link to one of the dishes she served at our glorious meal: stuffed zucchini flowers. Merci Elizabeth, et Bon Appétit!
